The meeting was to tell us that we had one day to find a place for him at another facility or to take him home! We found a place for him at Saturn. I wish we had been able to send him there in the first place.
The staff communication with the family... The Community is kept neat and clean and the staff has been very helpful and friendly. The care has been good but we would like to see the food improve.

The staff was very friendly and the feeling we got when we toured was very comfortable and I think I would like to be here if I need senior living. Communication was very good and if there are any issues they will call and let me know immediatly I would recommend the community to others. The best make sure every dish is made with quality ingredients, tastes great and leaves diners excited for their next meal.
Some nurses are nice while others are questionable. I have to wonder and ask what makes them outstanding from the other nursing homes? Most of the nurses are new grads at this location they pretty much don't know anything about patient care. Call lights could be going on for 20 minutes before someone come to answer it.

We were very unhappy with the care received. Poor bedside manners, understaffed. We were made a lot of promises that were not delievered. And if you dare complain, staff would treat you differently. The only good thing I have to say is,"The building is nice".This place needs to be under deep investigation..

There definitely is not enough staff during certain hours. I know everybody is having problems with getting employees, but especially on the weekends, there's not enough coverage. Some of them need additional training. The décor is nice, although the facility needs some updating. They're currently going through a renovation and replacing the carpet, etc.

White Oak Manor - Charlotte
It's a very Christian, caring place. One of the nicest places around. Caring staff, great meals, activities throughout the day. Very little turnover for employees. A very small community which make it very home like. So far Brookdale South just seems like a really nice community for loved ones to be at, and based on the experience we have had up to this point we would recommend them to other families.
